May 13, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Suffolk County Football Club as a member kicking off with the Fall Season.

Based in East Islip, NY, Suffolk County Football Club will begin UPSL play in the Northeast Conference American Division I. The club will host its UPSL home games at Westbrook Sports Complex (1 Wheeler Rd, Great River, NY 11739).

Carlos Beltran is the President and Head Coach of Suffolk County FC. The team will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

UPSL Northeast Conference Division Manager Paul Konneh said, "We are happy to see Suffolk County FC join the UPSL's American Division. Clubs are growing depite the pandemic and it's great to see Suffolk County take that next step. It takes a real vision to compete successfully at the UPSL level. Suffolk County has made the necessary moves to create a winning environment. We're looking forward to watching their journey in the UPSL."

Christian Garavito is the General Manager of Suffolk County FC. Salvatore Calio, David Calvache, Michael Coby and Jasper Ernhart round out the Suffolk County FC front office and coaching staff.

"Suffolk County Football Club selected the UPSL chiefly for its well-known platform and open-play system. An open system provides an environment for growth and exposure of member players while increasing competitionon level in the league," Beltran said. "The UPSL is the only Pro Development league in the nation with a promotion/relegation system. This system is in alignment with our mission as a club in 2021, as we are a brand new entity in the league. Our mission at SCFC is to create a competitive program where our players can consistently learn and be guided in their process to become top-class footballers. Our long-term goal is to build a program that will excel at the semi-professional level, while playing a crucial role in the process that nurtures talent to the pro ranks. We can only create such by establishing a winning culture for our club."

Suffolk County FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
