January 7, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Alianza Futbol Academy as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Coral Springs, FL, Alianza Futbol Academy will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Florida South Division. The club will host its UPSL home games at Coral Springs Regional Park (2800 Sportsplex Dr., Coral Springs, FL 33065).

Alianza Futbol Academy was created as a development platform for talented high school upperclassmen and current collegiate players with the aim of furthering professional aspirations. The club's Academy Boys 2005s recently won the 2020 IMG Cup.

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "We are excited to welcome Alianza Futbol Academy to the Florida South Division. Alianza Academy is a club on the rise. Its teams are phenomenal and there is a lot of talent at the club. They have a vision for development and a strong front office that is making all the right moves. We wish the club well as it prepares for the Spring Season."

David Tuesta is President and Head Coach of Alianza Futbol Academy. A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Tuesta holds Bachelors degrees in Accounting and Business Management.

Laura D'Ambrosio is Vice President and General Manager. D'Ambrosio holds an MBA in International Finance and currently serves as CFO & Director of HR for an Italian-based company operating in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

"Alianza Futbol Academy is excited to play in the UPSL. We are looking to offer a platform for the top local youth soccer players to further their collegiate and professional ambitions while pursuing a higher level of play," Tuesta said. "In 2020, our academy grew and there was a significantly higher demand for additional training. Through the difficulties of the pandemic we were able to work with many players, which made us realize that we can continue to develop the elite players with the opportunity to play in the UPSL."

Founded in 2020, Alianza Futbol Academy can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
