UPSL NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Pumas Premiers Rodrigo Garcia

May 14, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – Pumas Premier's Rodrigo Garcia has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week.

A native of Mayfield, KY, Garcia scored an all-header hat trick in an 8-1 victory in a UPSL 2021 Spring Season Mid-South Conference Expedition Division game on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Garcia played 90 minutes as Pumas Premier (4-0-0 overall) stayed unbeaten in its first season.

Garcia is a graduate of Graves County HS in Mayfield, KY, where he scored 141 goals - the fifth-most in state history - won a region title and was a unanimous Kentucky Player of the Year. He is the second Pumas Premier player selected UPSL Player of the Week this season, joining Noel Roman (Week 4).


The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.
